What to expect from Virtual College at World of Learning 2018

Virtual College is exhibiting and presenting two seminars at The World of Learning 2018, NEC Birmingham on 16th & 17th October 2018. The World of Learning conference and exhibition successfully brings together organisations with leading suppliers of L&D products, solutions and advice.

The World of Learning focuses on providing a unique forum for individuals to concentrate on developing their skills and updating their knowledge and is an essential event for L&D professionals.

Where to find Virtual College?

You will find us at stand C180, where we will be running live Enable LMS demos (our own proprietary solution) as well as offering a few other little surprises. We will also have a live demo station with our partners at C-Live. C-Live is a virtual reality-training tool that allows participants to take part in an immersive role-playing experience to simulate a real life scenario.

What will we be discussing?

Our team will be on hand to discuss all areas of L&D including behaviour change, digital learning, L&D strategies as well as our approach to creating bespoke e-learning solutions.

Tuesday 16th October

Matthew Dickinson, Learning Solutions Consultant at Virtual College and our partners at C-Live will be conducting a free seminar. Titled ‘Technology with purpose – using virtual sims to embed learning’, the seminar will explain how Virtual College and C-Live are helping organisations put learning into practice. Whether that’s performance reviews, coaching, leadership and management skills or tough conversations, the users of the virtual scenario tool have a safe virtual environment to practice their skills. C-Live presents users with avatars that are controlled by highly trained simulations specialists to present users with a range of realistic, real time scenarios. They’ll be showcasing the technology that clients from the hospitality, education and public sector are using to improve the application and retention of formal training.

Wednesday 17th October

Mark Harrison, Learning Technology Consultant at Virtual College will be conducting a free seminar titled ‘Technology Driven Apprenticeships; bringing apprenticeships into the future’. This presentation will explore how and why organisations need to improve their apprenticeship delivery models and bring them in line with the learner requirements.

- How we use technology to deliver 80% of the apprenticeship and maintaining high quality delivery

- How online live classrooms can deliver results and impacts

- How this links to evidencing off the job training

- What you can do to bring your delivery model into the digital age
